Accomplishments

  • I successfully implemented a quarterly report using Power Apps software for the National Radiation Oncology program. This improved the tracking of time-sensitive reports. Additionally, I developed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for geriatrics clerical staff and proposed a hospital-wide call center, which led to improved patient satisfaction. I also created a suspense tracking sheet to ensure all deadlines were consistently met and provided daily reports for the Executive Leadership Team. I received a monetary award for proposing a new call center, which was approved and opened. This led to me becoming the first supervisor and implementing an auto-call and automatic call distribution system. Lastly, I proposed and assisted with the first Richmond VAMC's Patient Safety Fair in March, which included various educational activities and demonstrations and is now an annual event. All of the above was at the Veterans Health Administration in Richmond, Virginia.
