Sonny Calder

• 60+ hours of volunteer work as a summer camp counselor. Worked with kids ages 7-11 to learn about ecology, biology, as well as environmental care and gardening.
• Worked on a team of three Sonoma Ecology employees, collaborated in order to create and lead activities for the kids.
• Led group projects, focusing on engaging the kids with fun and stimulating activities while also learning key aspects of the environment around them.
• Monitored camper activities and attitudes and coached and encouraged lonely, homesick and disruptive campers.
• Served as a positive role model for kids and encouraged participation in camp games.

• Worked collaboratively on an event team of around 15 people to serve, buss, and assist tables.
• Worked in the kitchen to clean dishes during events.
• Helped to set and stage events for the winery, worked as a team to prepare dinners and lunches.
• Served hors d’oeuvres to wedding guests.
• Bussed and reset tables to keep dining room and work areas clean.
• Used slow periods to restock supplies, ice, trays, and delivery bags.

• Worked on a team of around 10 to set up a festive area for kids to decorate.
• Helped kids with their art, encouraged them to express themselves.
• Worked together to clean up event tables and chairs.

Harvest Festival , October 15 2022

• Helped direct runners in the Harvest Festival 5K.
• Represented St. Helena High school spirit.

• Volunteered as a backstage hand for the 2022 spring musical “The Addams Family”. Helped with lights, stage management, and sound control. Learned how to use a spotlight and how to efficiently work on a backstage team of around 6 people.
