Driven Mechanical Technician with a background ranging from operating equipment in a small gold camp in the interior to working as a mechanic at Usibelli Coal Mine.. I was enrolled at UAF Diesel And Heavy Equipment school 2022-2023 where I went to class Monday through Friday and my internship through Usibelli Coal Mine was Saturday and Sunday in Healy, Alaska. At UAF where we performed tests in class and learned in a hands-on learning environment where we tore apart components for identification and operation understanding. From there I graduated from UAF on the deans list, finished my internship, and then went full time with UCM. Currently at UCM I am about to have 3000 hours through them as well as the ones I had achieved while I was in school. Here I perform general maintenance, major rebuilds, field troubleshooting and issue resolution in the field. I am wanting to learn the correct procedures and the tricks of the trade, I feel as though if it isn't learned right it isn't learned at all. I know that moving over to a dealership I will be able to apply the importance of good quality work on customer or company machines.
