I am a current student who just graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology from Oklahome State University. I am attending a Masters in Counseling program from Oklahoma State University starting in August 2024. I have a passion for education and helping others. I have worked in healthcare for a little over a year and plan on continuing as a counselor. I am wanting to pursue a PhD to be a Child Therapist when I am done with my Masters. I want to focus on Childhood/Pediatric Counseling to help children with their needs. I currently work at Saint Francis Children's Hospital on a medical, surgical unit with kids ranging from birth-18. I have a wide range of different skills obtained from this job. I am able to communicate well with my patients, their families, and coworkers. I have a lot of medical experience with inpatient care whether it be ADLs, wound care, vitals, hygiene, and many other experiences. I hope to be able to continue childhood care through research in development, mental health, trauma, health concerns, etc while obtaining my masters.

I have been able to do a research project at Oklahoma State University in a class called Experimental Psychology. This research was done with Dr. Sarah Kucker, a professor at Oklahoma State University in the fall semester of 2022. The following research experiment is looking at whether or not test workload plays a role in college students' stress levels. A Pearson's Correlation test was done to see if there was correlation between different types of assignments and the impact they had on stress. 14 Oklahoma state students participated that were enrolled in the Experimental Psychology Class. The results showed correlation between students and certain assignments contributing to stress but there were limitations in results due to the fact that only 14 people participated. This was a very successful research assignment and I look forward to possibly going into more research and making the sample size bigger to be more successful.
