Dedicated owner/operator of Sonya Sue Geisinger's Daycare, I've seamlessly blended regulatory compliance with innovative, child-centered learning, aligning with Pa Learning Standards. A passionate advocate for early childhood education, my curriculum fosters exploration and authentic learning. Skilled in building trusting relationships, my focus on safety and developmental milestones has set a high standard in my family childcare program. I stride to offer the families enrolled in my community a program that reflects my own values and beliefs. The connection that is built between both myself and the families is long lasting. I attend family functions of theirs and they attend family functions of mine as well, family childcare is a differnt entity and needs to be surfaced, this is the true meaning of continuity of care. I will bring my expertise and willingness to take constructive critisum and need for change to the table. Advocatoing for family childcare, staffing crisis, wages and regulation differences is something that I will work dilligently on with others.

One of my greatest accomplishments is moving my childcare program from a Keystone Star 2 to Keystone Star 4. Despite this being hard work with the assistance of great families, my quality coach and my own willingness to succeed we made it. This move was so influential we had a move up ceremony where all the families attended, my state representative Milou McKenzie, quality coach, and Jan Schwartz. This was such a great opportunity for families to see how our hard work paid off. Another one of my accomplishments is being present each and every day for my program, these kids deserve me to be my best and that is always my first priority. I ensure that I am educated, following rules and regulations, staying current on licensing updates and being a positive romodel for them.
