Internship Project:
I conducted a series of interviews with those who worked in the immigration field. Interviewees included an immigration attorney, a caseworker, the director for the Lansing Refugee Development Center and the State Refugee Coordinator/State Administrative Manager for Refugee Services at Global Michigan. After the interviews I wrote a recommendation as to how the Congresswoman could help educate the community on immigration. In addition to this recommendation, I also outlined policies that hurt or helped refugees, and identified solutions Congress could take in regards to the immigration debate.
