Accomplishments

  • Bronze Award (Girl Scouts) The troop I have been a part of since 2008 raised awareness for our friends and family’s blood drive.
  • Silver Award (Girl Scouts) With assistance from Half Price Books, I helped a women’s and children’s shelter collect toys and books for their holiday season.
  • Gold Award (Equivalent of The Eagle Scout- Girl Scouts) I submitted my project to earn the most prestigious award within the Girl Scout community. It consists of eighty hours of hard work contributing to something that will carry on after the project’s completion. I am benefitting my community by designing an app to reduce consumer-based waste from local businesses.
  • Venture Crew President With my crew, we raised over $1,500 per person to go to Philmont; however, due to forest fires, we pursued a seven-day long road trip of the Southwest United States instead.
  • Camp Counselor at Camp Judy Layne (Girl Scouts) During the summers, I am an assistant unit leader trained in child care and life guarding. I also help with parents at pickup/drop off and teach the girls in my care (aged 6-9) about leadership in the community. This has continued into babysitting the children in my life where I am able in various locations.
