Sophie Kramer

A passionate, energetic, and ambitious Student Teacher at Stonewall Elementary School in Lexington, KY. Soon to be licensed teacher in the state of Kentucky, with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Dedicated to advocate for every student's success by using positive reinforcement teaching techniques and providing students with a space for growth, collaboration, and inclusion.

● Member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority since August 2017

● Attends weekly chapter meetings in addition to charity, awareness, and recruitment events.

● Spreads awareness for the sorority’s philanthropic cause, CASA, which supports and promotes court-appointed special advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe

and healthy environment in permanent homes.

● Held a one year position as Reference Chair.

From August 2017 - May 2018 I was an active volunteer for College Mentors for Kids. As a volunteer, I was responsible for mentoring a 5th grade student once a week. I was able to work on setting good examples for children and creating healthy relationships with them.

In July 2018 I had the opportunity to go on a volunteer trip to Tanzania, Africa through GIVE Volunteers. The volunteers spent three weeks learning about different cultures, building relationships with new people, building schools, and teaching a women's English class.
