Laboratory Assistant II
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures for diverse patient demographics.
- Perform hospital rounds in accordance with the scheduled time system, promptly address urgent draws within the hospital, and handle clinical order entries originating from Kaiser Clinics.
- Spin specimens in the centrifuge and process them accordingly.
- Forward specimens to reference laboratories for analysis.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in identifying and rectifying errors in specimen labeling or tube utilization.
- Maintaining patients privacy
- Ensuring patient safety through vigilant verification of patient identification and verification of wristbands.
- Obtain blood samples by adhering to aseptic guidelines, drawing blood from the patient's finger or vein, and ensuring proper healing procedures.
- Every request and laboratory result is meticulously documented.
- Manages procurement, distribution, and replenishment of goods as required.
- Provides training and oversees the work performance of fellow Laboratory Assistants.
- Conducted laboratory experiments, including the setup and operation of laboratory equipment.
- Followed safety protocols while working with hazardous materials or chemicals in the lab.
