• Amman 2- Mafraq 3-Jarash 4-Salt , Jordan - SAMS is a global medical relief organization working on the front lines of crisis relief for Syrian refugees residing in neighboring countries and beyond to save lives and alleviate suffering
• Responsibilities included assessing refugees by taking medical history and performing physical examination, presenting the case to the attending physician, and documenting all cases using paper charts
• Evaluated along with the team around 70-80 patients daily
• Additional responsibilities included acquiring and distributing medications for the patients from the supply room to facilitate flow of the high-volume clinic.

• This was a four-week hands-on clinical rotation with the general surgery team
• Evaluated 4-5 patients daily in the inpatient and outpatient settings by performing medical history, conducting physical examination, formulating differential diagnoses, and discussing the case with the team consisting of the attending physician, resident, and medical students

• This rotation was entirely in the inpatient setting, where there was exposure to various settings, including internal medicine, geriatrics, and psychiatry
• Responsibilities included following a panel of admitted patients daily, taking their history, performing physical examinations, following up with the labs and imaging studies, and writing their progress notes using the electronic medical record
• Conducted daily evaluations on 3-4 assigned patients, formulated treatment plans, and presented the patients in the rounds to the team, which included the attending, residents, and medical students.

• This was a four-week hands-on clinical rotation in an outpatient cardiology clinic with multiple procedure rooms and cardiac stress test rooms
• Responsibilities included conducting medical history, performing physical examinations, and formulating differential diagnoses and treatment plans under the supervision of the attending physician on 15-20 patients daily
• Additional responsibilities included observing and assisting in several procedures, including stress tests, varicose veins procedures, and deep vein thrombosis procedures
• Observed Dr Nouri AlKhaled at Advocate Christ Hospital twice weekly in the cath lab and assisted him in several procedures, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, Impella device placement, and interventional valve replacement

-This was a 4-weeks hands-on rotation with the general pediatric team at child wellness and urgent care clinics.
-Responsibilities included taking a history from the parents while involving the children when feasible and conducting physical examination on patients as young as neonates to as old as 20 years old. Further responsibilities included presenting the findings to the attending physician or the physician assistant in practice, discussing the differential diagnosis, formulating a care plan for the patients, and documenting the clinic notes using eClinicalWorks. -Conducted daily evaluations on 15 patients daily (the clinic can receive 25 patients daily).

• Worked at the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia Hotline 937 to offer medical consultations during the COVID-19 pandemic, as access to healthcare was limited due to the curfew
• Provided medical advice to an average of 20 patients per day under the supervision of physicians working under the Ministry of Health
• Experienced a variety of simple and emergency cases in adult and pediatric populations.-Triaged and documented suspected COVID-19 patients and directed them to appropriate constitutions for quarantine.

• This fund-raising event at AlFaisal, of Medicine targeted children with special needs, their families, and medical students
• The event aimed to connect families of the children to share experiences and for children to enjoy a day full of activities
• In addition, there were booths for medical students to raise awareness amongst them regarding the care of children with special needs
• Event volunteers had to attend a 3-day course before the event to train on how to assist children and adolescents with special needs to facilitate an event full of entertaining and interactive games
• Arranged activities and interacted with children at the coloring booth after completing the course
• Additional responsibilities included recruiting food truck vendors and assigning volunteers to their respective booths.
