Review newspapers on microfilm, sort and inventory physical newspaper pages and create metadata for Texas newspapers for presentation and preservation on The Portal to Texas History (http://texashistory.unt.edu) and/or the UNT Digital Library(http://digital.library.unt.edu/).

* Creating inventories of microfilmed and physical newspaper pages
* Digitizing, reviewing, and entering metadata and inventory information
* Creating descriptive and preservation metadata
* Maintaining quality control and adhering to established newspaper handling, scanning and metadata standards
* Sorting newspaper files into issues
* Documenting newspaper processes
* Other duties as assigned
* Running reports using Python Programming

• Performing Quality analysis on production records for accuracy and compliance before delivering it to the relevant stakeholder (Client)
• Responsible for making decisions to upscale the quality of the team's work through the outlined control checks
• Involved in the record management and documentation of the quality control process, Also helped to train newly recruited associates onshore.
