Work History

Graduate Research Assistant

CNSE, University At Albany
01.2022 - Current

Projects:

Photoluminescence Characterization of TSCH SiC-Based Photonic Structures (Funded by Gelest Inc.)

  • Worked on understanding of influence of deposition and annealing process parameters on optical and PL properties of SiC thin films.
  • Responsible for analysis of thin films using different characterization techniques (FTIR, Ellipsometry, XRD).

Engineering of Rare-Earth-Implanted Lithium Niobate Films for Integrated Photonic Applications (Funded by NSF)

  • Optimization of ion implantation parameters for Erbium ions doping on Lithium Niobate thin films using SRIM.
  • Designed optical setups for NIR photoluminescence (PL) studies and performed experiments at 297 K & 77 K.
  • Implemented novel technique for analysis of polarization dependent Erbium PL with crystallographic orientation of Lithium Niobate.

Junior Research Fellow

Bio-photonics Lab, Indian Institute Of Technology
12.2019 - 02.2021

Project:

Quantification of collagen fibers using polarization based optical technique

  • Worked on optimization of GUI based software CT-FIRE and CurveAlign for analysis of collagen fibers images. It improved overall accuracy of quantification and characterization of TACS (Tumor-Associated Collagen Signatures).
