Through my time at all of my jobs, I’ve developed a numerous amount of skills, but the most important skills that I obtained were learning to be efficient in a timely manner and how to be organized. All of the jobs I have worked in the past have focused a lot on on organization rather that was in the form of putting away boxes, organizing paper work, but most importantly how to organize and keep the building clean. I have also learned how to be a good leader and example in the work place though being a supervisor.
During my time at Costco I was in charge of wrapping the meat after the cutters distributed it to me. I would also be in charge of making sure all of the produce out on the sales floor was stocked properly and neatly so customers could best find their needs. I would also have to lift heavy boxes of various sizes throughout the store as well.
During my time at The Home Depot I would be tasked with mainly restocking shelves during the night shift. I would have to safe-lift a plethora of different size and shaped boxes and put them in their respective locations. I would also be tasked with unloading the truck that delivered all of our stock. I also was able to get some experience using their pacer device, which was a different version of a forklift.
As a sales associate I was in charge of keeping all areas of the store stocked and clean. I was also responsible for checking guests out at the registers as well as at the drive through window. While working the drive through I’m responsible for getting each guest exactly what they need in a timely manner. I was also sent out on deliveries through Uber Eats and Door Dash
First I was a crew member, then after I performed exceptionally well and proved my worth I was promoted to Supervisor. I was then in charge of managing the crew and helping them maintain a clean and efficient environment while in a fast-paced setting. I was also in charge of handling cashflow making sure that it was always the right amount returned to the vault. I was also responsible for covering and assisting the bar as needed. I also worked a lot with the maintenance manager of the building to fix and maintaining the building and fixing various objects and machines around the building.
I was responsible for loading and unloading packages at various weights onto a belt from different trailers in a timely manner. I was then later promoted to a position called a switcher where I had to attach and detach trailers from the building in a fast-paced environment. As a switcher I was then tasked with managing which trailer went to which specific door and then when the trailer was finished, I would then have to park said trailer.
I used to work at a land surveyor company, during High School I was in the office scanning papers and doing various tasks, such as maintenance, cleaning the building, janitorial duties. Then during the summer I would be out in the field helping my party chief going to various locations putting wooden steaks and rebar into the ground. I would also have to verbally communicate with my party chief about certain measurements from great distances
