- Plan and oversee events with middle school and high school students for the purposes of fellowship, discipleship, spiritual growth, and outreach.
- Plan and oversee middle school and high School youth group on Wednesday nights
- Plan and oversee Sunday school for middle school and high school students.
- Train and recruit a team of volunteers for the purpose of discipling, shepherding, and mentoring the youth
- Provide counseling to the youth and help them grow closer to God
- Strive to build relationships with the youth so they know that they are loved and supported and that the youth pastor is someone they can go to when they are in trouble or need prayer.
- Going to local sporting events, and student activities that the youth are involved in and interacting with them. Ministry is not 9-5. Ministry to students usually occurs in the afternoon and evenings
- Support the other ministry and staff at New Hope. Support the other members of New Hope and be willing to serve them. Participate in other church events.
- Write and preach sermons for a typical weekly Wednesday night program, and write and preach sermons for the Sunday morning church service when requested too.
- Support the parents of the youth at New Hope by partnering with them to disciple the youth.
- Manage the budget for the youth ministry
- Assure proper care of facilities used by student programs
- Assist staff and church leadership in areas not directly related to student ministries when needed
- Led small group Bible studies to promote deeper understanding of scriptural texts and foster spiritual growth among attendees.
