To lead and document daily operations of right of way vegetation management crew including

• Insure proper PPE of crew, complete tailboards and weekly safety topics
• Teaching skills, techniques and safety protocols to crew members new as well as experienced
• Inspecting and/or maintaining trees, fall arrest devices and equipment
• Planning days to guarantee work is completed safe and productive manner
• Performing tree trimming, removals, brush clearing and hazard mitigation using aerial lift, climbing gear, chainsaws, wood chipper, insulated tools, etc.
• Applying pesticide spray as permitted

Perform directed daily tasks and learn from foreman and journeyman to maintain powerline right of ways such as

• Proper inspection and operation of chainsaws, brush chippers, insulated tools, aerial lifts, and climb gear
• Assessed trees and right of ways and identified potential hazards during inspections.
• Tree trimming/removing, brush clearing and hazard management using the equipment above as well as ropes/rigging and techniques

• Operated 9/13 split shift manual 10 yard dump trucks and belly dump semi for material transportation
• Conducted pre-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Monitored load weights to comply with legal restrictions and prevent overloading hazards.

• Operated heavy equipment to dig trenches and pads for underground communication hardware efficiently and safely.
• Conducted routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Located under ground utilities using continuity locator and Vac truck
• Directional drilling to run conduit for fiber and copper lines underground where trenching is not feasible
