Projects Internships

  • The Genomics workshop, organized by the Arkansas Centre for Genomic Epidemiology and Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), provided hands-on projects that greatly enhanced my skills in genomic analysis.. While completing the Genomics Workshop, I gained proficiency in RBiotools and learned advanced techniques in comparative genomics. The acquired knowledge was utilized to perform a thorough comparison and analysis of bacterial genome data for a species of Rhodococcus. This analysis generated genome atlases, heatmaps, and dendograms to visually represent the complex genomic structures. Furthermore, during data interpretation sessions, this contributed to a deeper understanding of bacterial genomics.
  • Project Intern, New Delhi, India, 01/2020, 06/2020, Reviewed and successfully finished 6-month dissertation under the guidance of Dr. Gajjala Sumana, Principal Scientist, CSIR, New Delhi., Performed in-depth research project on the topic 'Green reduction of graphene-based biomaterial using leaves of Azadirachta indica' and compiled data and analysis into reports., Organized and completed research from end to end by designing effective protocols like chemical synthesis and wet lab procedures.
  • Trainee, University of Hyderabad, India, 06/2019, 07/2019, Performed 1-month training in Animal Handling, with special emphasis on careful design of anesthesia delivery, animal restraint, and ability to deliver drugs or take biological samples., Learned new materials and increased understanding in usage of Real time PCR, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, Nano drop spectrophotometer and FTIR., Gained understanding of applied microscopy in procedures by closely monitoring Ultra microtone and sectioning processes.
