Flight Teen volunteers work directly with the public in presenting and facilitating aviation and STEM programming with the Imagination Playground, Invention Lab, Penguin aircraft, Virtual Reality experience, etc (from hiller.org). Volunteers also support special events that teach basic concepts of aviation in bite-sized packages, some of which include launching straw rockets and programming kid-friendly robots.
Leadership Interns gain valuable experience working in a classroom environment and the opportunity to network with teachers and like-minded peers while teaching STEM concepts to kids K-6 with hands on projects. Interns learn techniques to inspire creativity in younger students and gain an increased awareness of personal leadership strengths and receive feedback from adult team members (from invent.org).
