Work History

Senior Software Engineer

  • Built and shipped agentic workflows at Nike using Cursor agent mode and MCP server integrations. The pipelines automated test generation, boilerplate creation, and Splunk query authoring, cutting repetitive work across a 10-person team.
  • Wrote the system prompts and agent rules our team uses for AI coding tools, covering how context is set, which tools get used for what, and where the task boundaries are in a production retail codebase.
  • I use GitHub Copilot and Cursor every day in production. I apply them to improve test coverage, sharpen code reviews, and speed up observability work like writing Splunk queries.
  • I built the checkout services that handle 20,000+ daily transactions across 1,000+ Nike store locations globally. Started with Docker containerized microservices in Node.js and Java, later moved them to AWS Lambda, and integrated OpenAI packages to handle AI-driven response processing within the services. I am now working on containerizing our internal platform engine so Nike can deploy it across AWS, Azure, or GCP depending on commercial needs.
  • Led the AWS SDK v2 migration across 6 Java Lambda endpoints. I handled the low-level design and API reviews for each one and got it done with no disruption to checkout operations.
  • The Nike POS checkout system is a vendor built .NET application in C# and VB. I worked directly on top of it to customize and extend it for Nike stores globally, delivering sales, returns, member search, compliance features, and email receipts across multiple regions. When production issues came up, I tracked them to root cause and made sure they did not come back.
  • Contributed to a platform-wide upgrade from V3 to V5 as part of a security vulnerability remediation effort. Worked through dependency changes, validated behavior across impacted services, and made sure nothing broke in production as part of the rollout.
  • Built a React and TypeScript store transfer app used by 40,000+ retail employees across 1,000+ stores globally. Handled REST API design, data modeling, JWT auth, role-based approvals, and full AWS deployment through CI/CD. Built the UI using Nike Podium design system, applying component tokens, theming, and style abstractions to meet Nike’s global design standards.
  • Built product and pricing data pipelines that pulled from regional REST endpoints, ran location-based transformations, and stored results in PostgreSQL. These kept trading operations running across 1,000+ global locations during peak retail demand.
  • Ran Selenium automated E2E test suites for POS checkout enhancements, with test execution and pass/fail tracking managed through Xray in Jira.
  • I own reliability for the checkout services. I set up the Splunk dashboards, Grafana metrics, PagerDuty alerting, and OpenTelemetry distributed tracing. I handle roughly one S1/S2 per quarter, 4 to 8 S3 risks a month, and 10 to 20 S4 incidents monthly. I also coordinate a 10-person offshore team across time zones.

  • Built the claims processing pipeline that handled 10,000+ daily claims and 25,000+ provider payments for 400,000+ members. The system ran on C# and ASP.NET Core microservices hosted on Azure App Services, deployed through Azure DevOps.
  • Wrote Kafka based Windows Services that handled async transaction processing and pushed data to downstream systems.
  • Worked with FHIR, HL7, and EDI transactions including 834, 835, and 837 through Edifecs and custom formats. Kept all PHI-handling systems HIPAA compliant throughout.
  • Wrote overnight batch data pipelines in C# and .NET that pulled in daily claims, ran them through business rules, and pushed finalized payments to providers. I wrote NUnit tests alongside the code to validate each step and catch edge cases before anything went to production.
  • Built SSRS reports for cash management and process failures and replaced legacy file transfer jobs with in-house .NET Windows Services. Also hosted Quick Check eligibility services on Azure for real-time member verification.
  • Migrated on-premise SQL Server databases to Azure SQL. I planned it, ran the cutover, and validated the results. No data loss and no disruption to claims processing.
  • I ran the squad as lead, handled code reviews, mentored junior engineers, and stayed on the DevOps on-call rotation. Production issues came through Splunk, ServiceNow, and New Relic.

  • Built automation tools and scheduled jobs in PowerShell, .NET, C#, and SQL Server. Monitored deployments through Splunk and New Relic and managed CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
  • Built an ASP.NET MVC National Pricing Tool for managing supplier and customer pricing structures. Designed the SQL Server schema and deployed SSIS packages for production data imports.
