Partial Redundancy Elimination (PRE) Optimization for MLton

• Implemented the GVN-PRE optimization pass for the open source compiler MLton for the language Standard ML

MATH Expressions OCR

• Developed an end to end Optical Character Recognition system for Mathematical expressions by parsing, segmenting and classifying hand written strokes in inkml file formats

LangF Compiler

• Developed a compiler for subset of Standard ML with scanning, parsing, type checking, optimization and code generation phases

2D & 3D Graphics Pipeline

• Implemented complete 2D & 3D graphics pipeline using algorithms for (polygon filling, polygon clipping, viewing, transformation, tessellation, lighting, shading & texture mapping) and created complex scenes to visualize each process

Distributed Hash Table (CHORD)

• Implemented complete DHT protocol for a peer to peer network, handling the join, leave and file transfer between the peers

TCP Tahoe

• Developed a TCP protocol using UDP with the provision of slow start, fast re-transmission and congestion control. The failure in the transfer due to time-out, packet loss and error in packets were handled to ensure reliability

Rolling Die Mazes

• Developed an A* Search algorithm using 3 admissible heuristics to "roll" a die along its edges through a grid with obstacle and without (Number 1 on die) showing up on top until a goal location is reached in a maze

The Metal Part SORT-R

• Created a Multi-Layer Perceptron, trained it to maximize the profits for 4 class problem and executed it on Test data. Implemented a decision tree for the same and pruned it using chi square algorithm
