As a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, I'm ambitious and am inclined towards solving complex problems and helping others reach their academic goals. My experience as a tutor has taught me how to break down difficult concepts into smaller pieces, which has increased both my analytical understanding and communication skills. Being a tutor has also given me a significant amount of patience and empathy. These are qualities I believe are a necessity for efficient collaboration and teamwork in both academic and professional environments. My enthusiasm for chemical engineering is having the ability to be able to pursue real-world challenges head-on. Possessing a secure foundation in chemistry and calculus, joint with my hunger for knowledge, I'm ready to make my mark in the field. I'm particularly interested in applying my analytical and creative thinking skills to areas like sustainable energy, environmental protection, and design and manufacturing processes of oil refineries and petrochemical plants. Deep down, I'm someone who wants to use my technical abilities, patience and empathy to make a difference with my goal being to leave the world a better place.
