Primary function of role is to develop programming for day camp and teen programmings running offered by the YMCA to help meet the mission of the organization.
In Day Camp; work to develop all aspects of camp including; day to day camp programs, theme weeks, specialty camp wide activities, trip programs, and camper leadership development programs for 400+ campers each summer. Work with community partners to provide a diverse experience for all children and teens through the programs.
Recruit, supervise, train and help develop part-time summer staff.
Develop, manage, and monitor camp budget of $1.5 million per year and perform cost-benefit analysis at end of each fiscal year.
Ensure compliance with Office of Children and Family Services and Department of Health regulations for all programs
Advise Nationally Recognized Teen Programs; Serve as a member of the North East Leaders School Staff and management team member for regional Teen Leader retreats. Oversee Youth and Government program teaching teens about civic-engagement and how to become active members of their democracy. Create diverse teen programs which meet the needs of the teens currently being served.
Grew our Youth & Government program from 40 to 95 in the span of 4 years. Grew our Teen Leaders program 20% annually since 2019
Support and attend Y of the USA National Teen Initiatives that further develops their leadership skills such as; the Conference on National Affairs and YMCA Change Makers Program
Serve on the Y of the USA Teen Thought Leader Cohort with a select number of exceptional Y professionals from across the country
