I lead a team of 40+ (including higher leadership) in guiding them on how to effectively manage their interactions with others, particularly in business settings, focusing on improving communication skills, conflict resolution, relationship building, and overall interpersonal effectiveness across various communication channels, like in-person, phone, or email; essentially aiming to optimize the quality of every interaction to achieve positive outcomes. Analyzing individual interaction styles and identifying areas where communication can be enhanced, like active listening, assertive expression, or managing difficult conversations. Providing training and coaching on specific interaction skills such as body language, tone of voice, questioning techniques, and providing constructive feedback. Helping individuals develop new habits and behaviors to improve their interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Providing guidance on how to handle specific interaction challenges, such as dealing with complaints, managing conflict, or navigating cross-cultural communication.
Interpersonal skills : active listening, empathy, compassion, effective communication (both verbal and nonverbal), building rapport with patients and families, understanding emotional cues, teamwork, conflict resolution, and maintaining professionalism. essentially, the ability to connect with patients on an emotional level while providing clear and supportive care, often acting as the primary point of contact for patients.
Clinical skills: includes a thorough understanding of basic nursing care, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care. LPNs must also maintain healthcare protocols and comply with strict patient data , HIPAA laws, and prevent information breaches.
