Training as a Generalist technologist for the night shift. I decided that I really wanted to stay in the Metairie/New Orleans area and accepted a position at New Orleans East.

• Worked in accessioning in Blood Bank. Responsible for patient history checks and receiving samples into the blood bank and delivering them to the bench techs. Also responsible for preparing and issuing neonatal and pediatric blood product aliquots.

• Core lab generalist. Performed testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, and Molecular testing.
  

• 13 week contract at Mt Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA as a dedicated blood bank technologist. Performed tube and automated testing on Echo, antibody identification, crossmatching, rhogam work ups, cord blood testing, antigen and phenotyping.

• Performed various testing and analysis in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, and Microbiology
