Accomplished Early Childhood Special Education teacher with 25 years of experience teaching and assessing birth to 5-year-old students with a range of special needs, including developmental delays, autism, social-emotional/behavioral needs, and other health impairments. During my career, I taught as both a classroom teacher and an itinerant teacher. I have extensive experience assessing and teaching students in various environments, including daycares, public schools, private schools, and students' homes. As part of a team, I evaluated students using curriculum-based assessments and standardized tools to determine students' eligibility for services. I also assisted other related service providers and parents in designing an appropriate educational plan to meet student needs. Implementing specialized instruction in large groups, small groups, and one-on-one settings has been a major part of my teaching. Additionally, collaboration is a crucial part of my teaching background. My experience encompasses working as a co-teacher, push-in specialized instruction provider, and as supervisor of paraprofessionals providing student-focused interventions.
