I am currently a senior at Claflin University, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I have taken and passed all courses leading up to student teaching which finalizes my educational career. I have also taken and passed all parts of Praxis I.
I would be great for the position of a teacher's assistant because I have all of the qualifications, I have all of my field study hours which means I have experience, and I am eager to start if hired.
While being a member of the Cornerstone Community Church, I volunteered to lead the children in classes. During these classes of worship they were instructed on using scissors, coloring, creative writing and cooperation in small group projects.
Though babysitting is not the same as teaching, they do go hand in hand. I have babysat for several friends and family members and I also have two small children of my own.
I have done observation hours at several different schools throughout my college years. I have all of the hours needed to move forward with my degree if I choose to do so. During my observations in the classrooms I have taught mini lessons, lessons, graded papers, and have done small group instruction.
