Experienced registered nurse with strong clinical and people skills as well as excellent communication skills demonstrated by over 24 years of experience in healthcare. I have worked for Centura Health/St. Anthony Hospital since 2005.
Working at a stand alone urgent care/ER you have to have a strong team due to the limited staff availability as well as multitask efficiently and effectively. As an emergency room nurse I work as a team with other nurses and doctors to provide great patient care. I work quickly to assess the needs of each patient, prioritize care and work to stabilize the patient. I assist in treating the patients problem and discharging the patient home or making arrangements for a longer hospital stay.

I have worked for St. Anthony Hospital for 15 years. Nine years of that have been the charge nurse of the observation unit which has recently changed to the ED/observation unit. The ED/observation unit works directly with the ED to help with their flow of patients. As charge nurse I work closely with other nurses on the floor to help with patient care, communicate with our physician assistant and a resource for patients and staff.
