I was responsible for the mixing, refining and delivery of pulp stock to the paper machine at the right consistency to meet the standards of the grade paper being produced.

I also monitored the tower and chest levels to insure a constant flow of stock for production.

I monitored the pumps and motors required in the stock flow process.

Also responsible for the lock out tag out of pumps and motors during machine outages. I also wrote Safe Work Permits for outages and shutdowns helping to promote a safe work environment.

I was also responsible for routine maintenance of high and low pressure filters, changing and maintaining cleaner cones and other equipment.

Responsible for the drying of the paper in the dryers of the paper machine using steam produced in the power house.

Also monitored the steam and steam valves through the machine. Also handled the lock out tag out procedure for the steam system along with Safe Work Permits for outages and shutdowns.

Also responsible for leading the dry end crew during the day to day production and winding of paper.
