Summary

My overall objective as a Maintenance Technician would be to acquire the knowledge needed to maintain a safe & beautiful park for the public. I have had 4+ years with Metro Parks, as both a seasonal and a Maintenance Laborer, to demonstrate my abilities to meet the standards needed to keep a park safe & healthy for the public. In these 4 years, I have enjoyed planting various varities of plants that pollinators love, done a wide variety of maintenance-related jobs, from installing benches, pressure washing, to safely operating large equipment. I have been a valuable team-member on many different crews, and faced a variety of obstacles which I have all overcame. I have learned from mistakes, grown, and found confidence in Metro Parks.

I think I would be a great candidate for this job because of my work-ethic and ability to learn new things. I am aware of my knowledge level and want to only continue to grow, and I think a promotion to technician would help me meet these needs.
