One of my duties in this life is to be a steward of the land and wildlife. I have gained skills which can benefit the natural environment and any organization I work for. I am a very quick learner and a strong worker.
Streamside restoration projects include but not limited to invasive vegetation removal, planting native conifer/ deciduous trees, woody shrubs, and forbs, overall habitat and ecological enhancement. Assessment of sites, terrace building for streamside stabilization. Greenhouse/ nursery work includes weeding, watering, up-potting of plants, attentive to overall plant health, harvesting and foraging native forest plants. Organizing of plants in wetland, conifer, shade and sun nurseries. Always remaining attentive and gaining knowledge of botany. This position requires a fair share physical work, and intellectual planning. Soon I will be diving more into GIS mapping for our work site preparation. We also host volunteer, stewardship, and outreach events. I have skills in plant identification, GIS mapping tools, site assessment, and knowledgeable but still learning water quality enhancement.
Cashier duties included but not limited to: Efficient handling all money issues associated with the department and assigned location. Organize receipts, daily transaction records, and till reconciliation. Aide co-workers when needed, working as a team.
Substitute Delivery Driver duties: Pick up and deliver supplies to various schools throughout the district. Unload prepared foods and food containers according to a preset schedule. Deliver mail between schools. Maintain vehicle and assist in maintenance of cafeteria equipment. Complete a defensive driving course.
Over the last 20 years I have acquired interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, instinctual skills and conflict resolution skills One important skill not mentioned enough is common sense, the ability to make rational decisions based on one's own experiences and understanding of the world
