volunteering at the Adult Resources Center by weekly to serve individuals with special needs

ARC is a non profit organization which strives to ensure developmentally disabled adults are able to live a dignified life in a safe and loving environment.  Every other Friday I volunteer at one of their Brooklyn centers where  I offer assistance in the form of teaching these individuals basic life skills, medication education and sometimes the importance of socialization. I my service to this community, I started thinking I have so much to offer but it turns our  we have a lot to learn from each other. I learn a lot from both those who are verbal and non verbal individuals. We all one something to learn from each other. I also serve in their kitchen wherever I am needed for the day is where  I serve and I have been touched   in more ways than I ever thought possible.
