Engineering Projects

  • 4-Bar Mechanism Design Project (Spring 2025)
Collaborated in a two-person team to design and model a 4-bar mechanism in SolidWorks. Developed parametric solid bodies with joint constraints to enable dynamic movement and adaptability for various linkage types, including Double Crank, Crank Rocker, Double Rocker, and Triple Rocker. Delivered a smooth, interactive presentation during class, earning a 91% grade and commendation for presentation quality.
  • Research and Prototyping Project (Spring 2023)
Designed, built, and tested a high-powered, two-stage rocket for a national collegiate competition. Integrated dual motors for propulsion, an embedded payload, and a GPS tracking system for data collection and precise navigation. Fabricated components using a Tarantula Pro 3D printer to ensure lightweight yet durable materials. Unfortunately, our team lost track of the payload during the competition; had it been recovered, we were in a strong position to win.
  • Solids Modeling Project (Fall 2022)
Designed, constructed, and operated a remote-controlled, motor-powered robot for competitive battles. Leveraged SolidWorks to develop a durable and efficient design, incorporating structural elements optimized for combat scenarios. This project was my favorite due to its hands-on creativity and collaboration. Successfully competed against other teams and emerged victorious in the final battle.
  • Hardware Design Project (Fall 2019)
Built and developed a fully functional 3D printer, with designs modeled in SolidWorks. Focused on achieving high mechanical precision and reliability through iterative testing. Produced PLA sample prints to test the printer’s functionality and calibration, ensuring consistent output quality for prototyping applications.
