Work History

Student Visionaries of the Year Canidate

Leukemia Lymphoma Society

I was a candidate for the LLS Student Visionaries of the Year. I have worked to raise money for blood cancers by leading team meetings, making corporate sponsorship pitches with companies, and reaching out to friends, families, and neighbors for donations. As a team leader, I led my team to raise over sixty-five thousand dollars in the fight against blood cancers.

Youth Leadership Program

Conejo Valley

The Conejo Valley Youth Leadership program is a volunteer program that allows students to develop their leadership skills. By participating in this program for three years, I have learned how to be a better leader and role model to my peers. By listening to a variety of leaders speak about their professions, I have learned more about how to be a proactive leader in my community.

Valley Day of Service

Jesse Gabriel

Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel hosts a Valley Day of Service once a year. I volunteer to organize all the groups, ensure all the activities are running smoothly, and gather volunteers to participate in the different service projects.

MedAcademy

The University Of California, Irvine

UCI MedAcademy was a five-day program that was designed to introduce students to medical careers and broaden students’ understanding of the healthcare field. I learned about working in the healthcare field through hands-on activities and patient simulations.

Biomedical Engineering Course

Tulane University

This two-week educational course allowed me to learn about how biometrical tools are designed, built, and marketed through hands-on activities. I then worked to propose an enhanced prototype for a biometric tool that expands its current accessibility and function.

Coding Course

Girls Who Code

This two-week coding course allowed me to learn about the fundamentals of user experience design, rapid prototyping, and playtesting and learn about gaming and design careers. I then designed and presented my own game that I designed.

Counselor

Outdoor Education Camp

I volunteered as a counselor for an elementary school's 5th-grade camp. I worked with students to develop confidence, leadership skills, and problem-solving skills.
