Work History

Plastic Injection Mold Process Technician

Leviton
07.2019 - Current

At Leviton I’m responsible for mold setting, job setup (injection molding process), ensuring high-quality output and minimizing waste. I operate and maintain a variety of equipment including chillers, grinders, loaders, mixers, mold controllers and tumblers. I have just over 5 years experience and oversee over 40 injection mold presses with 1 other technician. I received training in hydraulic and servo motor technologies and am actively pursuing completion of Paulson's specialized injection molding course. We mainly use polycarbonate, polypropylene, nylon, acetal, Crastin and Valox.

3rd Pressman

WestRock
09.2016 - 04.2019
  • As 3rd Pressman I was responsible for locating SBS paper stock with the scheduled job number, neatly organizing the pallets at the beginning of the KBA 106 water/ ink offset printing press and feeding the paper stock into the machine.
  • Responsible for minimizing the amount of alarms in order to maximize productivity by providing a continuous feed of SBS paper stock into the press.
  • Minimized printing press alarms by adjusting the height of the feeder head, the amount of air on the feeder table, and making sure no bent board went into the machine
  • This was an easy job so I volunteered to do what I could to help the 2nd Pressman
  • Those responsibilities included rebuilding the coating chamber, changing damaged printing blankets and packing, buffing printing plates when scratched, bending printing plates and changing them when the job changed, locating the correct inks, cleaning out old inks/ cleaning the fountain balls, changing the press' water, changing blanket washers when empty, and jogging or fixing crooked SBS pallets with a jogger machine
  • I was also responsible for taking off waste and trash

Packer/Inspector

Metal Industries
03.2016 - 09.2016
  • As a packer/inspector I was responsible for final audit of air conditioning component(s) that was on a specific order.
  • Filled out a shipping manifest for each order to confirm all of the components were on the pallet(s).
  • Neatly and securely stack the components onto a pallet, secured it with banding, and got it ready for shipping.
  • Responsible for making custom pallets to fit small orders and for making sure the wood cutting area was clean and free of hazards.

Band Hand/General Labor

Willbros Construction
05.2013 - 10.2013
  • I was a part of a 3 man crew responsible for the installation, removal and maintenance of the bands that the automatic welders ride on
  • We used a specially designed gauging tool to make sure the band was the correct distance from the end of the pipe
  • We ran almost 120 miles of 42" pipe from Rio Grande City, TX to Agua Dulce, TX

Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Journeyman

United States Air Force
02.2010 - 07.2012
  • Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Journeyman
  • I was trained to repair and maintain (scheduled inspections/preventive maintenance) aerospace ground equipment. Aerospace ground equipment runs all of the aircraft’s systems without actually turning the aircraft on.
  • My training included high pressure hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, high voltage 12v and 24v electrical systems, high/low pressure air compressors, gas and diesel engines, turbine generators, diesel generators, bomb lifts, heaters, air conditioners, self generating nitrogen servicing carts (SGNSC), tow bars, basic hydraulic stair sets, and flood lights
  • Responsible for inspections, fueling and cleaning of tow vehicles and pressure washing of A.G.E.
  • At one time I had HAZMAT and refrigerant processing certifications
  • Was trained on forklifts
