Scheduling, Kronos Payroll, evaluations, hiring and retention, creation of action plans, budget creation/management, and policy evaluation and implementation. Successfully implemented fall reductions plan, with fall rate being reduced by greater than 50% in 3 months. Employee retention improved from 90% turnover to 23% in 6 months. Agency utilization reduced from 88% to 6% . Excellent ability to motivate and develop staff. Responsible for collection, evaluation, and reporting of quality data.

30 bed Neurosurgery step-down/med-surg. Scheduling, payroll, compliance audits. Employee evaluation, counseling, and development plan creation and oversight. 32 direct reports. Completed ADC and Acuity project resulting in staffing ratios being adjusted to meet the needs of the patient population. Fall prevention/reduction committee, Budget committee, Medication safety officer. Direct patient care as necessary.

Manager of nursing department in 80 bed LTAC, 10 ICU beds, 70 med/surg beds. Providing management, direction, education, and support for 128 RN's, LVN's, and C.N.A.'s with 24 hour accountability for the nursing department. Responsible for employee, physician, and patient satisfaction on all levels. Scheduling/staffing of nursing department. Hiring and retention of nursing staff. Quality management and improvement, including trouble shooting and revision/implementation of policies. Implementation and oversight of brain injury program. Implementation of fall reduction program and oversight with >50% reduction in patient falls. Budget preparation and implementation. Conflict resolution. Interim director of case management for 4 months. Assured compliance with regulatory agencies. Assist with all procedures and moderate sedation. Oversaw delivery of nursing care to provide excellent patient outcomes and quality improvement.

Nurse manager of 55 bed LTAC, Including 5 bed ICU and 8 bed step down, 22 bed med/surg units. Reporting directly to the CCO. Scheduling, education, and implementation of quality standards and pathways for nursing staff. Patient, physician, and employee satisfaction all increased to meet or exceed corporate benchmarks under my direction. Implemented basal bolus insulin protocol and achieved significant improvement in blood glucose control facility wide. Implemented staffing protocols and decreased agency use by >40%. Facility received Silver Award 4th quarter, 2014 for most improved facility of 400 facilities. 24 hour accountability for nursing department.

PRN in various capacities as needed. Including, but not limited to, intake, triage, home assessments, inpatient hospice direct care with charge duties, quality measures, chart audits, and staff development.
