The Family Engagement Specialist supports families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) children from birth to five years old by building strong, collaborative relationships and empowering families to make informed decisions about their child's language, communication, and development. This position serves as a liaison between families, early intervention providers, and community resources, ensuring culturally and linguistically responsive servies that promote optimal outcomes for youth D/HH children.

• Supervise students during times of transportation from school to home/home to school
• Communicate with students, supervisors, parents and school staff using American Sign Language (ASL) and written English

• Created dental x-rays using traditional and digital methods to help dentists detect tooth decay, cavities and other issues needing to be treated
• Applied sealants and protective coatings to teeth, protecting enamel and preventing cavities
