I've been part of the agricultural industry my entire life. I was lucky enough to grow up on a farm where we raised beef cattle and our family also operated a butcher shop for over 15 years where I helped manage day to day operations, and also worked with customers and suppliers on a daily basis.
After we made the decision to close the retail butcher shop due to family health issues, I went to work for CVAS, which is a an agricultural laboratory focused on providing feed and forage lab in Hagerstown, MD. There, I traveled daily to a local farm and extracted rumen fluid from cannulated cows. From there, the rumen fluid was injected into vials prepared to emulate the cows stomach along with the forage, allowing us to test it's digestibility.
My current position at Lanco has allowed me to work with field staff, dairy farmers and industry professionals from the Mid-Atlantic area for the last 15 years. I pride myself on being a collaborative leader with dedication to partnering with coworkers to promote engaged, empowering work environment. With strengths in building and maintaining relationships with diverse range of colleagues in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
