A dedicated educator experienced in creating and fostering learning environments for students to raise confidence and expand knowledge base. Began a journey in education by supporting at risk youth within an outdoor educational setting through Yosemite Institute. Later became a Head Start director working with families and students within the classroom and home setting. Upon receiving a Bachelors and later a Master's in Teaching and a California Teaching credential, began teaching within private school settings. Worked for 8 years as a Regional Director for two local area nonprofits, Sierra Nevada Children's Services and Project MANA . Has fostered a deep understanding of social services, adult education programs, youth and adult programs, and grant writing. Confident and detailed-oriented with a dedication to organization and effective collaboration. Hardworking Educator with 8 years of distinguished public school teaching experience at Truckee Elementary School. Extensive knowledge of early childhood education and a dedication to effective technology integration.
