Later became a Head Start director working with families and students within the classroom and home setting. Worked for 8 years as a Regional Director for two local area nonprofits, Sierra Nevada Children's Services and Project MANA . Has fostered a deep understanding of social services, adult education programs, youth and adult programs, and grant writing.
