Provide exceptional nursing care, in a 12 bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Monitor patients for vital signs, clear airways, bleeding, circulation and pain control.

Interact with multi-disciplinary staff, respiratory therapist, speech therapist,

dietician and fellow nurses. Document and communicate to appropriate team

members patient's condition, treatment, progress and other pertinent information.

Conduct an initial assessment for patients admitted to unit and at each shift. Experience with initiation, use & discontinuation of IV, PICC line and CVL.

Make adjustments to IV drips and various machinery. Administer blood products by protocol with double-checking

system. Initiation and continuation of TPN, IVF & Intra Lipid continuous infusions.

Administer medications, oral, intravenous and injections on schedule times.

Communicate tactfully and diplomatically with family members to relay patient's

health status. Make independent, deadline-driven decisions within protocol limitations
