The job is to watch the child and make sure they are safe, but there is so much more to the job then just to make sure the child is safe. The job is to make sure the child is happy and having fun. So that they want to have the babysitter there again. I have been doing this for over 10 years and I love it. I would love to be a babysitter for your child. I've been babysitting since I was 11 years old. I've watched all ages of kids, from newborns to teenagers.
