The training specialist helps the client with IDD with supported employment (helps client work as independently as possible at place of employment), supported living (assist clients with tasks like shopping and chores in the home), day habilitation (assists client on social and community integration skills) and respite (giving the client's caregiver a break).

Assists provider in identifying patients overdue for immunizations and preventative health maintenance including routine, urgent and emergent appointments with appropriate provider and clinic.
Other Functions:
Will provide cross-coverage for their peers, helping peers and clinics that need assistance to ensure the efficient and effective flow of patients.
Attends and participates in area staff meetings annually; participates in unit goal setting; complies with area and departmental scheduling guidelines. Other duties as assigned.


I personally helped run the 24 hour blood pressure monitoring system we had, and helped correlate the data from the monitor. I also assisted the provider who ran the stress echo tests.
