  • Honors Northeast Film Project - Contributed to film, "Chicano Thermidor" by shaping the script and playing a major part. The film was premiered on 02/20/26 and is on YouTube.
  • Region 8 Science Fair (01/30/25, 02/18/26) - Served as a judge with the STEM Club, evaluating student projects across elementary and high school levels.
  • Peer Tutoring - Organized and facilitated study groups, fostering collaborative learning and helping understand challenging course material.
  • Raices y Alas Ofrenda - Organized and coordinated the club's ofrenda display, ordering decoration, planning the layout, and managing setup to engage the campus community and promote the club.

Research

Independent Biological Research - Dr. McAllister, NTCC, Spring 2025

  • Conducted hands-on field and laboratory research on freshwater fish parasitology, focusing on gill-inhabiting myxosporean parasites. Collected and processed specimens, extracted gills for microscopic examination, and screened for previously undescribed myxosporean parasites. Research in Black Rock, Arkansas contributed to findings on possible five new myxosporean species on the gills of four Black Buffalo fish. Gained experience in fieldwork, lab techniques, microscopy, data analysis, and scientific reporting.

Independent Biological Research - Dr. McAllister, NTCC, Summer 2025

  • Conducted avian parasitology research identifying coccidian parasites in regional bird species in Prescott, Arkansas.
