Perform all duties of preventative patient care including reviewing medical history and taking vitals, taking and examining all digital dental radiographs, performing patient assessment through intra/extra oral screenings, full periodontal charting, hard and soft tissue charting, taking intra-oral photos, using diagnodent, performing prophylactic cleanings through ultrasonic and hand instrumentation, coronal polishing, placing fluoride and sealants, performing local anesthesia as well as nitrous oxide sedation, performing scaling and root planing along with all aspects of advanced periodontal care, taking impressions and fabricating bleach trays, patient education, and developing lasting and rewarding relationships with patients.

Performed all the responsibilities and duties listed above. In this practice we did single-column hygiene some days and accelerated hygiene on others. Dr. Jeremy Hatch relied heavily on his hygienist to assist him in providing local anesthesia to his patients.

In this office, we started off doing single-column patient scheduling and then implemented a two-column accelerated hygiene schedule. Dr. Bekki Patton believed in a more natural and holistic approach to dentistry, which was fascinating to learn and implement.

Cleaned and sanitized dental tools and equipment, straightened treatment rooms, and restocked supplies to prep for next patient and maintain health and safety practices. Maintained a clean and sterile work environment to prevent cross-contamination and infection. Sanitized trays, instruments, and surfaces for clean dental office setting and patient safety. Provided chairside assistance during examinations, improving dentist efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities included taking food orders from customers, delivering orders to cooks, delivering ordered food and drinks to customers, and assisting customers in all aspects of service.
