Stephanie Marco is a dancer, teacher, and aspiring choreographer. For the past five years she trained at Perkins School of the Arts under Amber and Michael Perkins, with a specific focus on modern with elements of partnering. Stephanie is currently pursuing her BFA in dance at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. She has danced competitively since the age of five, and had the opportunity to compete internationally for the past four years in Canada, winning three national titles with her team. While pursuing her BFA, she has performed a varitey of works under the instruction of Kevin Iega Jeff, Madi Hicks, Pat Taylor, Tristian Griffin, Brinae Ali, Diedre Dawkins, Kelly Hirina and Jess Beach. For the past five years, Stephanie has taught and choreographed for 8-16 year olds at Perkins School of the Arts in a variety of styles. She loves having the platform to cultivate minds of young dancers; teaching them makes her fall in love with dance all over again. As an emerging choreographer, Stephanie recently choreographed a modern piece that was selected to compete at the American College Dance Association this past March in Erie, Pennsylvania. Last spring she completed her second semester of Choreography at Peabody presenting her work entitled A Lover's Tale, where she had the opportunity to collaborate with a composer to create the score. Her passion and determination are the forces that keep her striving for more. She hopes to share her stories and love of dance with the world, inspiring young dancers as so many have inspired her.
