• Work both independently and in conjunction with supervising cardiologists in both inpatient cardiology and outpatient clinical settings
• Evaluate new cardiology consultations and followup care including vital signs, lab results, history and physical, imaging, EKGs, and prior cardiac testing
• Perform hospital rounds including interviewing patients, discussing symptoms, and suggesting treatment options to attending
• Very comfortable discussing diagnosis and treatment plan independently with patient and family
• Document full medical histories, treatment progress and evaluation data in EMR (Cerner, eClinicalWorks)
• After hospital rounds and documentation complete, see both new patients and established patients in the outpatient clinic
• Devise a treatment plan including medication changes, further cardiac testing, and providing heart healthy education both independently and with the assistance of supervising physician when appropriate

• In charge of planning and organizing Premier Heart and Vascular Center's team for the Tampa Bay Heart Walk sponsored by the American Heart Association
• Recruited, trained, and supervised both new APPs and students at Premier Heart and Vascular Center

• Directed patients to exam rooms, fielded questions and prepared for physician examinations.
• Assisted with routine checks and diagnostic testing by collecting and processing specimens.
• Performed clerical duties, such as word processing, data entry, answering phones and filing, calling and faxing in precriptions.

• Charted patient encounters by recording information such as diagnosis, treatments and prescriptions.
• Helped facilitate efficient and organized workflow while accompanying physicians through day in fast-paced environment
• Utilized Epic to input information into computerized patient record system.
