Accomplishments

In 2007, I was honored to be nominated for Michigan Teacher of the Year and selected as one of five statewide finalists following a rigorous evaluation process. While I was not ultimately chosen as Teacher of the Year, being recognized by the State Superintendent and Board of Education was a deeply meaningful milestone in my career. In the spring of 2026, I was again nominated—this time for Ohio Teacher of the Year—and am currently engaged in the application process.
