I have been working most of my life time in the medical field. I have done a lot of Customer service also with call centers and use of a phone. I have done several positions in scheduling tests and setting up appointments for patients and Veterans. I have outstanding Customer service calls when I worked for Humana Military, Know as Tri-care. I also worked over the phones at QVC doing order entry and had outstanding talk time.
I'm a full time employee and I cover for people's breaks and lunches. I also travel to different clinic's to cover people when they are on vacation or out sick. This job is primary a Customer Service Job dealing with the people.
We are given a podium to be behind of and as the people come through the door , we check their ID badges to make sure they are up to date , we are assigned to document on what we find, so the company knows what we are dealing with.
When we have issues with a person who has no ID card we contact the Officer of the ay and he takes things over ,we now document this type of problem. We basically greet the people at the door and ask to see their ID cards and if they have a mask to use in te clinic, if not we supply them with one.
This position was under Health Net, they went though Kelly's service to find people to work for them. Our job was to contact Veterans who were needing appointments for their care. These Veterans needed stat care and we read their history and call them to set up appointments for them. My hours were 4:00 pm til 12:30 am. So I did the West coast, sometimes I would get someone on East coast and I would search high and low for these appointments. I was serious to help these people get the help they needed. I searched the internet to find openings for these people who needed the care. I would document my results for my supervisor to see. We also used a coding account to add to our assignment sheet.
I'm a Certified Medical Assistant at this job. I work in the medical department of the Correction Centre Of City of Chesapeake,VA. We deal with inmates who have seizures and depression, drug over dose and Intake prisoners. We admit them, when picked up on the streets by the Policeman while on duty.
We are assigned to work with different inmates each night. My assignment was to take blood sugar testing and record them on the chart. Check with needle and strips to check their blood sugar levels. and give them proper medication. Sometimes in the night someone's Blood pressure would spike high and I would have to sit there and check it every 10 minutes. until stable.
There would be codes ,so we had to attend to,due to someone found out they had aids and was upset so they would call a code. Never saw anything to bad, just that the way the L.P.N. treated the inmates wasn't expectable in my mind. They didn't speak to them nice, They didn't treat them with respect. We are all humans and yes we are serving time but that doesn't make you better than me! We all make mistakes, nobody is prefect.

I have always liked different types of people, I love learning how they live and what kind of foods they eat ! This all started when I did home health care. I use to sit with the person and chat and this is how I got to learn about them some patients
were elderly and they had been around for a long time. I had one man and he was 103. We use to chat about old cars. he told me he would have to crank up his car in the morning, I thought that was neat!, I would find out what they could eat and bring them in treats! oh how they loved these special treats. some of them I would cook breakfast for them and they would enjoyed this so much!
The best part would be to see them eat the treats and their eyes would light up with a smile that was so Beautiful! You knew you made someone happy! That made your day! I love seeing my patients happy and it helps me feel like I did something nice for someone so sweet and dear to you.
