PACU Nurse ( Outpatient Surgery)- Provide post-operative care to patients' recovering from various forms of anesthesia. Closely monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and provide airway management as needed. Provide ongoing assessment and intervention as needed. Manage post operative pain and administer post-operative medications as needed.

PACU Nurse- (December 2021-March 2023)-Monitoring post-operative patients levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and providing updates to the treatment team as needed. Providing airway management as needed. Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administering medication as prescribed. Closely monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythm for any changes and providing interventions as needed.

Outpatient-preop/post-op-( March 2023-July 2023)-Assess , instruct, and prepare patients prior to surgery. Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about procedure. Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct. Assess patients' post-operative condition, provide pain management and comfort measure post surgery. Provide discharge instructions and education regarding post-surgical care.

Perianesthesia Nurse-Outpatient Surgery Center. Pre-op Nurse-obtaining patient's health history, verifying surgery consents, starting IV's, reviewing, implementing physician orders and reviewing labs/diagnostic testing and reporting results. Education patients on pain management and expectations for discharge. Assisting anesthesiologist with nerve blocks under conscious sedation. PACU/Phase 2-Providing acute care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, identified/initiated emergent situations,management of post operative pain and assessment of surgical sites, implementing post surgical plan and reporting changes of patient patients condition to appropriate medical staff. Float between Pre-op,PACU, and Phase 2. Also responsible for Pre-Assessment phone calls for Outpatient Surgery Center( 2011-2015) .Worked in Pre- Admit Testing department (2015-2017). Obtained and reviewed patient's health history and review of medications, ordered labs,performed EKG's per standing anesthesia guidelines and evaluated /reported results. Maintained open communications with physician office and hospital staff regarding patient's need for clearances/testing. Provided education for patients on preparation for surgery.

PACU Nurse/PRN.Initiates immediate care during post-operative period in ENT outpatient surgery center. Assess patient's condition and monitored post-surgical recovery. Manage post operative pain and assesses surgical sites. Provides discharge teaching to patients and families.
