  • Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors and senior management teams; organizes & coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.
    Manages the busy schedules of the CEO and executive leadership team, including arranging meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries.

    •Handles emails, phone calls, and other forms of communication on behalf of the CEO and executive team, ensuring messages are prioritized and responded to in a timely manner.

    •Information management: Organize and maintain confidential files, documents, and records, ensuring easy access and retrieval when needed. This may include maintaining electronic databases, policies, and document management systems.

    •Meeting coordination: Plan and coordinate executive meetings, and Board meetings including preparing agendas, taking minutes, reserving rooms, catering, communicating hybrid links, and distributing relevant materials. Follow up on action items and ensure deadlines are met.

    •Technology support: Utilize your technology expertise to assist with various tasks, such as managing software applications, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with presentations and multimedia materials.

    •Travel coordination: Arrange domestic and international travel for the CEO and executive team, including flight bookings, accommodations, and transportation arrangements.
  • Project management: Assist in managing special projects, initiatives, or events as assigned by the CEO or executive leadership team. This includes coordinating teams, tracking project progress, & preparing reports.

Areas of Impact:

  • Serve as lead communicator for both of our Board of Directors to enable them to meet, share data, and institute new policies on behalf of our organization.
  • Facilitate communication of weekly virtual and in-person meetings of hundreds of our residents to keep them abreast of current Board and community topics/events.
  • My detailed and frequent communications to various leaders across the 750K sq ft organization set the stage for multiple successful events each week.

Biggest Accomplishment:

Learning to navigate and run BoardEffect, government software platform, to organize all of our committee and Board meeting agenda items for monthly meetings of multiple committees. I am continually tapped to share my expertise with other users in this complicated but efficient framework.

Provided highly responsible assistance to the Mayor, City Council and City Clerk's Office. Work involved serving as a contact for the Mayor and City Council, planning and reimbursing travel,conducting detailed research, analyzing data, preparing comprehensive reports on behalf of the City, coordinating multiple projects at one time, managing multiple schedules, responding to constituent and community inquiries, and serving as additional support to the Administrative Services Department and City Manager's Office. This position required a great use of initiative and judgement in all matters, with little oversight or direction.

Biggest Accomplishment: Becoming more familiar with the steps of Council Bills, Ordinances and Resolutions as they are met through the City Council Approval Process.

  • Chosen as CPW team lead to represent agency in planning and executing Colorado's First Day Hikes (FDH) program (Jan '18 - Jan '20) across 42 State Parks in CO, in conjunction with the National Association of State Park Directors (NASPD) in North Carolina. I worked closely with our marketing team to design swag and distribute across to state parks across the state. Due to my organization and execution, in 2019, 597 CO hikers signed in to hike on January 1st, logging a total of 1,970 miles.
  • Performed extensive calendaring, event set-up, telephone and email support of Assistant Director's daily schedule in supporting Capital, Parks and Trails (CPT) team of 50 colleagues.

Biggest Accomplishment:

Selected to represent CPW and serve on planning team with six parks colleagues to work on year-long planning of the 2019 Rocky Mountain State Park Executive Conference (RMSPEC), hosting 120 park executives from 16 surrounding states (April 29 - May 3, 2019). Utilized Google team drive, sheets and set up forms as event approached to stay on task. Secured venue, invited guests, corresponded as event approached, worked with hotel on daily floor set, meals and AV at hotel. Paid out vendors throughout week. Hosted visitors to two State Park visits each day, and lived at Denver West Marriott for a week, working 16 hour days! We received 100% satisfaction on post-event survey.

When my colleague had to take a three-month, emergecy medical leave, and she requested that I perform all administrative tasks requested by three additional Center Directors (and their 160 scientists), which included finding and reserving venues, heavy calendaring for all four Directors and VIPs at the Lab, setting up AV equipment/connections in rooms, sending meeting invitations, and ordering and delivering catering on a regular basis.
