• Diagnosing and managing various pulmonary conditions such as COPD, emphysema, asthma, OSA, pulmonary fibrosis, pleural diseases, pneumonia, organizing pneumonia, bronchiectasis, pulmonary nodules/masses, respiratory failure.

• Rotate as charge nurse. Responsibilities include reporting on all unit patients, assisting nurses to admit and transfer patients, and other tasks necessary to perform patient care. Participating in daily rounding with a multidisciplinary team. -Collecting necessary data for unit such as number of central lines and Foley catheters in attempt to reduce infection rates.
• Rapid Response Team: responding to emergencies throughout the hospital with a multidisciplinary team.
• Preceptor to new graduates, transfer nurses, and nursing students.

• Six months of training to provide care to critically ill patients. This includes ten weeks of classroom education regarding disease process and skill competencies, as well as, twelve weeks of unit orientation with a preceptor.

• Performed patient plan of care while utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provided care for post-op cardiac and thoracic surgical patients.
• Participated in patient and family education, administered medications, and monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias.
• Preceptor to new graduate nurses and rotate as charge nurse.

• Performed general clerical duties and medical coding.
