At Huntington Learning Center, I tutored students of all ages and abilities to improve their grades and build self-confidence, organizational skills, and good study habits.

As an ESY teacher for D46, I instructed individuals and groups in special education skill areas, planned curriculum, lessons, and teaching methods, evaluated student progress based on work output and observation, implemented goals, objectives and directions of the IEP, maintained the physical environment of the classroom, managed student behaviors, communicated with administrators, parents, and other teaching staff, and wrote progress reports.

As a paraprofessional for Community High School District 128, I worked under the supervision of the classroom teacher to present and/or reinforce lesson plans, assisted with classroom management, testing, record keeping, performance tracking, and filling in as a substitute teacher as needed.

As a substitute teacher for various school districts, I assumed the responsibilities of the regular classroom teacher during his/her absence. My main responsibilities were to make sure the lesson plans were followed and that the classroom was running smoothly.

As an art teacher at Cove School, I taught art education classes to students in grades k-12. I taught drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and printmaking, as well as art history and art appreciation.
